Claude Code

CodeCrab Docs · Claude Code

Claude Code is Anthropic’s command-line coding agent. CodeCrab runs it locally on your computer, in read-only mode, to review PRs, merge requests and local changes with your own Claude account or API key.

What you need

Claude Code is one of three supported agents. You only need one ready agent; Cursor CLI or Codex CLI work as alternatives.

Install Claude Code

On macOS or Linux, use Anthropic’s native installer.

macOS / Linux · Terminal
curl -fsSL https://claude.ai/install.sh | bash

On Windows, use the PowerShell installer.

Windows · PowerShell
irm https://claude.ai/install.ps1 | iex

Already use Node.js? You can install it globally with npm instead.

Terminal
npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code
